By the time I received the invitation to the presentation of the fashion beachwear Nukksh collection of Aljawhara Al-Sabah, the Princess of Kuwait, I knew it would be a unique event as the designer is member of the Kuwaiti Royal Family.

I have been so excited that I could not wait any longer and decided to be the first blogger to tell you about the presentation and all the secrets behind this new luxury swimwear brand.

The event 'brunch by the pool'  took place in the Hotel Wellington Madrid and has been the ideal way to introduce the brand of the Sheikha of Kuwait with sun, pool, brunch and Middle East inspirations.

During the event there was an almost collective doubt all who were in the event What protocol exists in these cases? Can we speak to The Princess and take a picture? What was the inspiration of  the collection? But within seconds we were with her, the designer and Princess and remembered that the best of the fashion world is that there seems to be an almost universal language. Between photos and selfies, by request of the Princess, we realized we were at home.

I had the opportunity to introduce myself and ask even about the collection and inspiration, with my translator helping me, and I was surprised  by how friendly she was and she even asked me: Do you like the collection? and told me that Nukksh means calligraphy in Arabic and the collection is inspired by those letters and lines which evokes the waves of the sea. Aljawhara Al-Sabah is the first fashion designer in the Middle East and her triumph might be due her closeness and modernity that is reflected in her personality.

The designs are very western, with bright colors and exotic prints that reflect the connection with the Middle East, the opulence of gold prints on black and ruffles for a feminine and modern woman. The collection features designs for the whole family and also with fittings and accessories such as towels, turbans and caftans.

After Madrid, Nukksh continue its presentations in Marbella, Ibiza, the French Riviera, Mykonos (Greece), Southampton (United States) so the trend with Arab touches will be seen in the main destinations in summer and is now available on its web www.nukksh.com

And here the pics of the event and wish you a very nice weekend to you all!
